But RHP Trey Cochran-Gill gave back 2 runs in the top of the 8th to tie up the game again, and RHP Ryan Doolittle surrendered 2 runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Designated hitter Viosergy Rosa slugged a solo shot with two outs in the bottom of the 9th to bring the Hounds back within a run, but that’s as close as they would get before dropping the second game of their 4-game series with Corpus Christi. Starter Chris Jensen allowed 3 runs over 5 innings of work on Wednesday. Meanwhile, RHP Tanner Peters, who had been on the RockHounds disabled list, was released by the A’s.
